Despite its diminutive size, Yellowroot is actually a shrub! With its suckering habit and adaptability, it is a perfect plant for erosion-prone slopes and other tough spots. In spring, Yellowroot blooms with small but lovely purplish flowers arranged in fan-like panicles, which give way to star-shaped fruits in summer. Autumn brings a rainbow of muted but fantastic colors to its leaves, creating a gorgeous garden carpet.
